Shoot Your Shot!

By now, I think it is safe to say that when it comes to eyewear, I go bold! This week let’s learn how to choose the right frame shape while encouraging you to take a chance with online eyewear purchases!

There are so many online shops that offer amazing, affordable eyewear. Step One: browse around multiple websites. Whether you’re looking for a certain style, price range, or shipping experience, finding the right site is essential. When in doubt, ask around. I’m always here to help!

Once you’re selected the website you want to try, you’re ready for Step Two: choosing your desired color of frame. I recommend choosing your desired frame color to narrow down your search to avoid being overwhelmed.

You’ve found your website & your ideal color, now choose the frame style that compliments your face shape!

Here’s a Helpful Guide:

The virtual try on feature of each site will give you an idea if the shape and color will work for you.

Simply put - SHOOT YOUR SHOT!

You won’t know if it works until you try it! Sometimes the virtual try on feature doesn’t compare to the physical pair you’ll receive. Personally, I don’t even use the feature anymore. If I like the shape, color, and price, I’m trying it without hesitation! If it doesn’t work - I return them and try again! Its that simple!

This Week’s Eyewear:

Frame #124118 from www.zennioptical.com purchased for $6.95 (No Typo). This frame style has multiple colors for the same price.

I grew up in the Daytime Talk Show Era. One of my favorites was Sally Jessy Raphael. Why you ask: her red glasses (don’t judge me)! They were big, bold, and hard to forget! I had to have a pair of Sally’s! LOL

One of the first online eyewear shops I ever purchased from was www.zennioptical.com. For only $6.95 there they were: my Sally’s. Although these aren’t my favorite cat-eye frames, the rectangle shape is still a conversation piece. For this look, I paired my The Teacher Top Shop “No Doubt” tee with a red pencil skirt and my black heels. My daily accessories were worn, and Justine was popping and standing tall!

That 9-5: Yes! These are definitely go-to frames.

Girl’s Day Out: I’ve been spotted out with my Sally’s on several times! LOL

BAE Night: I haven’t yet, but I don’t see wearing them being an issue.

Loungin’: Always!

Overall, I give these glasses a 5 out of 5. My Sally’s are definitely my favorite frames. They are classic & constantly in rotation! They have a comfortable fit and aren’t too heavy!

Don’t be afraid to shoot your shot and try purchasing affordable eyewear online! Anything can be purchased online - why not eyewear? You’ll never know how amazing you’ll feel and look until you try it. Trust me: your confidence, eyes, and pockets will thank you later!

Recently, my hometown was shocked with the passing of one of its brightest lights. She was young, with an infectious smile, and a heart of gold. While reading the many memories shared online from my hometown community about her and the impact she had on their lives, someone shared a photo of her from her high school basketball days. Instantly, I stated laughing and crying at the same time. I could hear her say, “Girl, sometimes you have to shoot your shot and keep going"!” She was right. In every aspect of life, we must learn to step outside the box and try the unimaginable, regardless of the unknown outcome. I’m honored she was so inclined enough to support necessory. For that, I am forever grateful and promise to take this venture beyond what the eye can see. Thank you DS - you’ll never be forgotten! My many condolences & prayers to her family & friends!
